Juan Carvajal, Hospital Administrator
Juan
started working at Amazon Animal Hospital for his father when he was 16
years old to pay for his new car at the time, after high school he went
to the University Of Central Florida in Orlando.
It was one year after college that he decided to work for Dr. Carvajal,
he has been working alongside his father ever since.
"There is nothing like waking up every morning and knowing you will
learn something new. Working alongside my father, helping our furry and
feathered friends has been an ongoing journey which I will never
forget!"
This past November Juan and Jessica Carvajal gave birth to Bella Sky
Carvajal, “She is our pride and joy, and she has already grown to
love animals as much as we do! Bella is already playing with our
Siberian husky ‘Miles Davis’ and our kitty named
‘Comet!’” |

Marka Finn, Receptionist
My
name is Marka Finn and I am originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts
where I grew up with many animals! I cared for horses at a stable just
so I could be around them and learn to ride. I always had multiple cats
and at least one dog, and any other creatures my mother would allow in
my home. I have always wanted to help animals in some capacity and have
worked for veterinarians most of my life. When I am not playing with my
pets I enjoy Tae kwon do, working out at the gym, football, crossword
puzzles and movies. I have been in Florida for over 20 years now with
my two sons Michael (23) and Shane (20). I recently acquired 2 German
Shepard puppies that are 4 months old now and keeping me very busy!! I
also have a very mischievous tuxedo cat named Kanga. My mother and two
sisters live here as well and I have three brothers still living on
Cape Cod. Dr. Carvajal is truly the most wonderful veterinarian I have
ever worked for as well as the hospital administrator Juan Carvajal and
the rest of the staff Tiffany and Desiree. I am honored to work here,
in a hospital with such strong ethics and such a caring veterinarian
and hope my relationship here on the staff continues for many years. |

Kari Benney, Canine Trainer
Ever feel like your dog is out of control? Well we have the answer that
could set your mind at ease, and her name is Kari Benney. Kari has been
working with dogs for over twenty years, and was certified as a
“Canine Training Specialist,” while graduating at the top
of her class studying behavior modification. She studied at Triple
Crown Dog Trainers Academy, which is one of the top trainers’
schools in the United States! Obedience training is very important due
to the fact that it can create happy, well-mannered dogs which can form
effective communication. Kari’s technique is very unique because
she believes that in-home training will be more successful. She
believes in this method because the whole family can get involved, it
is less stressful on your pet, and allows your pet to have more
personal attention. Kari uses a clicker as one of her methods which is
a simple piece of plastic and metal that clarifies in a dog’s
mind what is expected of them. She teaches basic obedience which allows
the pet to understand basic commands such as “sit,”
“down,” and “come.” Advanced obedience is
off-leash and allows fine-tuning of the basic commands while giving
those commands in different locations so they will respond “off
leash,” with confidence. If this sounds like something that you
are interested in, don’t hesitate. The faster you get started,
the closer you are to having a loving and affectionate pet. Call us
today at 535-5433 for more information. |
