Very early in my life I started studying and reading science. In particular I liked biology, animals and plants, their evolution, reproduction, ecology or as they say, their relationship with the environment. Well, years later I ended up in college. Went to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a school about 60 miles NE of Pittsburgh. I was a biology major and I really liked it. Four years flew by and I finished my BSc. One day, during that summer, I received a call from an old professor of mine, who asked me if I wanted to take an assistantship to work on my Master in the field of physiology. Two years later I was done with it and was ready for Veterinary Medicine.
Years later as a veterinarian I started doing relief work for several Drs., owners of veterinary hospitals. That gave me lots of experience very quickly. I also worked at the Emergency Clinic in St. Petersburg, Fla. After five years of doing this I decided I should start my own veterinary hospital. The AMAZON ANIMAL HOSPITAL was founded and located in the Tri City Plaza in Clearwater, which is the geographic center of Pinellas County.
Twenty plus years have passed of serving the pets in this community and it has always been a great satisfaction for me to see how the pets that have come to us because they were sick, always left happy and wagging their tail. This made their owners very, very happy!
That is the essence of being a good veterinarian, caring so much… about treating the sick pets that with the power of research, knowledge and technology, the pets health gets better and they stay healthy.
Now our clients are coming with their second generation of pets and are telling their friends and family about us. That is the reason why we are growing so fast!
Our goal at Amazon Animal Hospital is to always stay on top of the new advances in veterinary medicine, so that we can give our sick pets the best chance to a complete recovery, when possible.
